Following up my last go-kart MOC, I wanted to create another cheap-thrills vehicle! Like a go-kart for the beach, a sand rail is a vehicle purchased and driven without liscense off-road. They usually have large paddlewheel style tires in the back and thin vertical wall tires in the front to cut through the sand and make very sharp turns. I made this one in about 30 minutes using techniques I've never used before.
About this creation
Back view. Not my most detailed, but still adequite...
Single piston motor. Just enough power for some "mild" fun in the sun!
The flaps on the side flip up to enter the buggy, and fold down to protect the seated driver.
Working solid-beam rear suspension and detailed engine.

Nice creation! I especially like how you got the rear suspension working. I hope you don't mind, but I used the design in a FAV I made. Again, great job! |

Cool buggy. We used to have one almost exactly like it, in real life. It did about 35mph...nothing extreme, just enough to keep a 9-year-old and his dad on edge. (lol-it sure was fun.) I wish I had some rods like the ones you used to make the frame for the cockpit or whatever it's called. P.S. Thanks for the thoughtful comment on my hot rod. -matthew- |

Pure awesomeness! I love it! I love medium scale, too! You know that since I'm in America now, I only brought with me my Tiny Turbo legos..... Good for another months and a half of 6-wides, 4-wides, and Minigarages - when I go back to Poland, I think I'll start on large scale! this is awesome, again! :D I'm really impressed, because surely this is one of your coolest creations ever. I still have to comment on your Le Mans Classic..... whew!! I'm exhausted with typing! Once again, Master Dylan, a masterpiece. Your best creation is always your next :) ~Raphy~ |
