Modified 8018 AAT and Review
Review of 8018, and mods of it. I got pictures of the mods.
About this creation
What up, my people of MOCPages? Today I bring thou my review and modifications of 8018 Separatist Armored Assualt Tank.

Pros: It's Separatist blue-ified.
Comes with a cute little speeder.
More sturdy than the old one.
Heavier in the front so it doesn't tip over like the old one.
Details. Lots.
Three B2's with the rocket arms, new Yoda.

Cons: At least $10 dollars more than it's worth.
Only one Clone.
Flickfire guns (WTF were they thinking?)
Worse: Stickers that are hard to put on right.
Two plain droids. Not a pilot and commander, just plain. Seems pilots were for the MTT only. Lucky I got 4 blue droid bodies off bricklink...
Cute speeder makes a bad rear hatch.
Turret is too spiny. I was hoping it's be like the AT-TE turret, stiff.

Overall, it's 50/50. It goes great with the new Seps vehicles, expect the hailfire which is brown. It's way overpriced. Cool B2s. One clone. Cute speeder. No good back hatch. It's really up to you. If you're trying to save money, it's a no go. If you want an awesome vehicles for your droid army, it's a go. Just like the old AAT, I love this set. I was planning to put a size comparison with the remains of my old AAT, but it's too late today.

Mods: I removed the speeder, kept it around, and put in a chair, a self made control panel, similar to the ones on Invisble Hand or my Morning on the Bridge diorama. I created a back hatch, using a few peices from the speeder, and it works great. If anyone wants, I'll put pics of how I did it. I also removed the flickfire guns (WTF were they thinking?), and put them in more stabely. Now they're real guns, with black cones on the tips, like the main cannon. I stabilized the main cannon's front end, by pushing the black rod further in, and lengthened it by one of those black cylinders. I changed a few other things here and there, I don't want to list.

This is Tuesday's MOC (ish). Tomorow, I might do my modded AT-AP, or modded MTT. Probably MTT. No. I'm uploading the 4 member 930th Legion tomorow. You'll find that their a good match for my droid heroes.

I'm still working on my scene for Droid Trek 5, which should be up by sunday. Hopefully.

Quoting Hunterkiller 33 When are you going to get around to making a coretosis droids the outer shell is light saber proof
I'm not sure how I would make them. They look like normal B1's, with only a few differences. Plus, I'm not the best droid modder out there...

Congratulations. It's the easiest set to mod of it's size. I'd like to see what you do with it, if you do anything.

Quoting GC: Captain Rocky: NR/CB Also (if it is not too personal) how old are you? I am 14.
1 year and two months older than you, I think. 15, to be direct.

Don't have enough money. +My b-day is in November. I might try what you say, working, but my parents would probably make me put the money in my savings account. Ugh.

Quoting GC: Captain Rocky: NR/CB I think I am going to buy this instead of the Tank Droid that is coming out in August.
Tank Droid I think is gonna be 30 dollars. I think. If I were you, I'd try to get both. I'm trying to get at least two Tank Droids in the summer. I got work to do, money to make...

I have the new AAT as well. It is great for army like you said and gives you something with artillery at the foremost. Three Super battle Droids and two B-2's. Over all, great!

Quoting Alpha:26 "MAZE" TROOPER TROOPER oh man, now it makes me wonder, i am going to spend my 150 dollars for droids on the solar sailer, magna guard thing and this, but maybe i should drop the sailer, and go for this, what do you think?
Hmm... The sailor has Dooku and Magnagaurds. Good for some elites and leadership. It also has the crap pilot droid thing with the skeleton foot head. The AAT had Yoda and the three B2s with rocket arms, and is a very cool and easily customizable. It depends on what your priorities are. AAT is better for an army, Sailor is good for getting som serious villians.
