I FAILED at my attempt at a Stuka, i had almost gotten ready to add the hinges to hold the landing gear at the right angle, when BAM!, the whole thing falls off the stand, and falls onto the floor, and breaks into a thousand...well, 114 pieces, plates are REALLY bad for camo, they take too much parts, so i moved to bricks.
ANYWAY, just posting it because i wanted to show what i can do if i try (and if i haven't had any drinks (cordial, coffee, SUGAR ).
enjoy my Failed MOC, i blame gravity and physics for its demise
next.... Land speed car. a few black bricks are in it, a few Yellow too.
well that just stinks! I hate it when that happens! So frustrating! I like what I see here, though! It looks really nice! I encourage you to try again, I'm sure you'll perfect it. Maybe just stick it on the shelf for now (where it won't take off by itself!) and come back to it later, when you have some more ideas for it! That's what I do when I can't think of anything else to add to my MOCs @ the moment, and in the end, I usually think of something 2 add 2 them! Maybe give it a try. :) very cool!
Only building a few ships, I build mine flat on the ground. And I lol'ed about the moment when you think it might fly. That said, I love the camo on the wings, but the tail is too blocky and could use some work [if you ever try this craft again].
Thanks for the encouragement guys, planes and cars aren't really my thing.... space and vignettes are.
I build planes and other things like that too fragile, and they always end up breaking.
But yes Mr. Kelso, i have had that moment. (my doc says high reaction times are normal, but when your adrenaline is pumping, everything goes in slow motion, even you, so you think you can go for it, but everything is relative, you are traveling too slow, even if you have noticed the item just start to drop, you just can't get to it, you end up knocking yourself out.)
It looks cool while it is falling, but when you reallise, "OH, S&#T!", you just think, ah well, may as well do something else.
Even though the 'Stuka' was a dive bomber, it was just ridiculous, like in toy-story 1, 'you can't fly!, you're a TOY, T-O-Y, TOY!'
Maybe someone should have said that to my LEGO.
A hint to all you people that watch MOC's dive to the ground, please...PLEASE don't dive after them.
Oh that hurts! but it happened to me once also... or twice to be honest!! may be you would like to see a pic of my Reventon on the flour (into about 50 pieces) before 1 of the posting time! you know bad things happen all the time... and now it's on my page with around 120 people liked it :) so I encourage you to put this into one piece again, you made it and you can make it again... it looks so nice and I really would like to see it done, so keep building and always keep it up :) >>> peace.. Fofo
Ah, the ever popular "exploding MOC." I've built several of those myself. What I love most (being sarcastic here) is that frozen moment in time as it's falling...it hasn't hit yet, but you know it's doomed to oblivion and there's not a #*&! thing that can be done! Yep, those are the special moments. Well, for what it's worth, it looks like you were off to a great start. The wing shapes were looking nice. Give it another go!
