A new custom colored moc that is based on the infamous halo warthog. I thought that it would be nice to redesign the original color of the warthog to add some variety. Thanks for viewing and please, please, please comment!
About this creation
Thanks to killernoob for the exellent instructions of the body design I made a new colored version of the original he designed and made a few improvements too. Many thanks to Killernoob and please comment on my creation (I would love to hear from Killernoob himself too) Thanks and enjoy your viewing! REMEMBER: since it takes alot of thought and time in just trying to build this, it has come to me to realize that posting instructions would be a tough thing to do. Therefore I'm sorry to say that I probably will not make instructions for this halo warthog rendition. HOWEVER!!!!!, killernoob does have links posted on alot of his warthog pages for instructions how to build the main body of it. So please visit him to find instructions how to build it.
If you still seem to be having trouble with your now built killernoob-design warthog, then I can at least tell you a few improvements I made to it to help it look and stay together better.
They are as follows,
-for hinges in place of holding the hood on, instead of using the three-pronged free moving hinges, try using the popular lock hinge couple instead.
-add under the hood a connected 1x1 cylinder to a 1x2 baseplate on both sides (see pictures)for support to the wheels. Trust me, it will help ALOT!
-for driver and passenger seat blast plates, use a thicker blast plate by connecting 2x2 studless flap to a three sectioned grab bar and put on both sides (see roof).
-replace the roof crossbar with a 2x8? baseplate instead and attach 1x2 baseplates with one stud on top on both ends and attach to your own version of your window connecting it to the back rollbar.
-lastly, if you had built the killernoob version of the warthog, then attach two 2" rubber bands to the bottom of the warthog attached to the individual wheel bars (not posted). WARNING: make sure the rubberbands you attach to your warthog aren't too small or too tense otherwise it will greatly dammage it! They should end up giving the warthog a little "boost" by giving it some suspension. I will post a picture of it soon.
so if you followed all of these steps, then you should have a very sucessful and APPEALING warthog! So what are you waiting for? Get out there and have fun with it!!!
And as you can compare according to v1, This new version has definetly shown some improvment (LOL)
And yet you can STILL tell that by the looks of "multicolored" crazy warthog color design v2 that I still needed some improvement!
Just in:new tru blu warthog version will be posted soon! :)
tru blu ;] blueberry juice! Anyways, the moc itself looks good, my one suggestion is it might look even better if it sat a little lower, or maybe make the wheels higher, or something. Somehow make the underside a little closer to the ground. But yea, good build :]
