FN P90 TR RBG . a semi auto RBG model of the famous FN P90 (TR configuration) . The world-famous P90 TR (tri rail) has a brother - the lego P90 TR RBG!! this is a semi-automatic rubber band gun with a 20 RB capacity. the bands are loaded onto a 6-tooth gear made from 2 helicopter tri-point pieces, situated near the back of the magazine. the other ends are hooked onto a hook near the front of the gun. because the P90s magazine runs parallel with the barrel, it is an ideal place to put the bands. basically, the whole top/front section of the gun and the magazine swing up to reveal the RBs underneath. this means that in normal use, the bands are hidden from the user, so rogue bands cant fly in the users face. the most difficult bit was getting the trigger to reach the mechanism without getting in the way of the RB spindle. there were 2 ways of ataching it - through the grip or underneath the magazine. i decided to go under the mag with the risk of the pieces getting in the way of the spindle instead of going through the grip, therefore making it weaker. this was, in hindsight, a good decision, as i managed to fit it all together with room to spare! as the gun only has 2 modes - safe and fire - i didnt need to have a rotary fire selector like the real P90. instead i had a pivoted safety catch, which did the job, and kept the front of the gun strong. its probably also easier to use, but i havent actually used a real P90, so i wouldnt know. anyway, the video is here if you didnt understand that, or like most people just didnt read it. pics: left side right side (notice that theyre entirely symectrical, therefore ambidextrous) detail front half detail back half grips detail safety, on safety, off how to hold it (in case youve never seen a P90 before and cant figure it out) how the top hinges off (it can move further) FPS loaded, 20 bands 6-tooth spindle (loaded) whole mechanism back mechanism detail trigger mechanism detail (notice safety off) and one last look at the gun well thats it - tell me what you think!
