Evolution of Lego Twp Fire Headquarters . Here are my first tries at building firehouses. I eventually changed them due to size constraints with the apparatus and looks. What better firehouse to start with than Fire HQ.... . The old Fire HQ had 3 pieces plus a chiefs vehicle. The 4th bay was added and supposed to be for the chief's car, but instead I saw a need for a spare engine. Engine 11 was that spare engine...until I decided to grow the department. So in all, the Chief's car STILL sits outside. The back side of the firehouse was open, Lego style (no rear wall). The aerial would hang out the rear. Plus, the other firehouses were starting to look better than HQ. I believe that Fire HQ should look the best. The hunt was on. I looked at numerous firehouses. Finally, I found this firehouse in Foster City, California: I liked the colors and the style. So, I built this:
