6974 Delta-IV Space Station . 500-piece modular base built in "Classic Space" fashion, with a small spacecraft and space buggy. . A "Classic Space" center with vehicles; built with the very hopeful notion of actual release by LEGO as a "My Own Creation" set. I elected not to use Crater/Landing Plates to further foster its realization using the greatest possible percentage of today's selection of parts (I'm lookin' out for Lego)! Every piece used here is vintage late-'70s, except for a few blue wing pieces in the landing platform (dating to 1984). The whole base is hinged, allowing for lots of different possible layouts (all seen in my additional pictures). I used around 500 pieces, and sure wish two of them said "LL-908" on them! ;o)
