LF-2 Gnat . Small package, big power...the LF-2 Gnat. Enough said. .
Despite the success with the Mighty Mite, the overall design was not very well received in certain sectors in the universe. Wanting even more manueverability and speed than the Mighty Mite, the fledgling Gaea Federation set to work on making a fighter that was just as powerful, if not moreso, than the Mighty Mite, and with an even more streamlined and aerodynamic design. After months of hard labor, the LF-2 Gnat was born. Although it was loosely based upon the designs of its predecessor, the LF-1 Mosquito, the LF-1 Mosquito was even more sleek in design than the LF-2 Gnat. However, in an actual dogfight, it was defeated easily by even smaller and quicker atmospheric craft and as a result of its frequent failures in these simulations, the LF-1 Mosquito never saw actual combat action.
(Editor's Note: I really tried to make the back less noticeable than it was on the HP-1 Mighty Mite and I am not sure if I succeeded or not in my efforts to make a more streamlined fighter or not. Still, with that being said, I think that this might be one of the smallest fighters that is on practically, if not any, LEGO MOC website, including this one. It also has sixteen guns and while it does not have as many of them as on the HP-1 Mighty Mite, it can still put the hurting on the enemy. Also, only six of the guns can rotate and there are no turret guns on there at all. Although there is no greebling or SNOT techniques that are really in presence on this particular craft, the lack of greebling was kind of forced on me simply due to the very small size of this particular fighter craft and the lack of SNOT techniques was due to a lack of adequate coverage for SNOT techniques on this particular fighter craft. I was fortunate to have enough SNOT coverage pieces for my KO-1 Scorpion Hovertank and even they were split between smooth tiles and those kind of grill tiles, i.e., those tiles that look like rectangles with three bars that go across it horizontially. What do you think of it, guys? Please let me know down below and thank you for your support.)
