Nimrod Class Mining Fleet Defender . The Nimrod Class fighters are designed to defend cargo ships transporting minerals from the Outer Rim mining planets. A short range, swift fighter stationed on board the big transport ships to be launched under an attack from raiding space pirates. I continue being lazy, the only sets used this time are the Granite Grinder, the Boulder Blaster and the Thunder Driller from the Power Miners line. The canopy and the pilot's black visor are borrowed. Rate and/or comment please! . This fighter is crammed with weapons leaving little comfort for the pilot. Twin turbo lasers, four missiles and a small EMP cannon in the front between the pylons. The rest of the ship is basically a big engine making it real fast (and short range!). Thanks to my bro Jake who came up with the idea for the exhaust. The Space Mining Corporation has built small support stations like this all over the system in case of an unplanned stop. Contains radar array, fuel drums, ammo crate and frozen burgers. Thanks for watching...
