Venator Class Star Destroyer (UCS ISD scale) . Flagship of the Grand Army of the Republic done in UCS ISD scale (1:1600). . I've finally finished my Venator Class Star Destroyer built to official UCS ISD scale. This was without a doubt the hardest ship I've ever built. It's also the largest at 90 studs long. I never could've built this without the inspiration from three other great Venators: Master builder Erik Varszegi's, Martin Latta's, and brickcommander's. This ship is probably my second favorite ship to the Royal Naboo Starship ( This was the first time I've built a ship to a non-minifig scale. Its for model purposes only of course. I really enjoyed building it and learned a ton in the process. I hope to built many other large scale models in the future. So enough with the rambling. "Let's get down to the nitty-gritty! [What] is this [Venator]?"- Nacho Libre Specs: UCS ISD scale 90 studs long 28" long ( 2' 4") A LOT of pieces. Not sure how many. A top view obviously. Gives you an idea of the shape I went with. I tried to make it as accurate to the movie shape as possible. I went with black engines even though dark grey would have been the correct color simply because its what I had. I didn't even have enough dark grey to build the engines out of plates, so black ones made from wheels and bricks are what you get. Here's a close up of the bridge tower with all the light pieces. Here's a shot of the guns. I wanted to make them more detailed, but due to limited space working with ISD scale, I had to simplify them. The starboard side hanger door is closed whereas... The port side hanger door is open. I built the underbelly docking bay that's on the real ship. I know, I know it has yellow in there, but once again that's one of those "that's what I had, so that's what I used" situations. I built a mini republic cruiser that... docks into the underbelly docking bay. Let me know what you think!
