MocOlympics Round #6, Kevin Fedde vs. Steef de Prouw . ... . Round 6 Category: Mosaic Opponent:Steef de Prouw Well here we are, semifinals... When I saw that my category was "Mosaic" I had no idea what I was going to do at all... So I did some research, and found a really cool style of Mosaic where you basically take pieces of broken glass or pottery or ceramic or whatnot, and arrange the shattered pieces as best as you can into the image you are going for. Needless to say, I was intrigued, so after randomly looking through pictures online and on my hard drive, I decided on doing a Broken Mosaic of a Lotus Flower. And since its more "oriental" themed, I just HAD to do a more "artsy" shot. And a WIP shot, just to show how it was done and whatnot. And a comparison shot with the picture I BASED it off of, not copied, based. I did add some stuff for more visual interest. You can kind of see the reflection on the water and the other plants in the background. Again, crappy editing and all that. And kudos to anyone who can tell me how many cheese slopes are in this thing, I lost count.
