FE-171 Intruder Advanced Strike Fighter . The FE-171 Intruder ASF assault fighter. . The FE-171 Intruder ASF Developed around the Rapier Assault Craft's chassis, the Intruder is an all-purpose, long-range, advanced strike fighter for use in the void of space. It boasts heavier armor, better visibility, higher maneuverability, and advanced atmospheric flight capabilities. The Intruder is an all around improvement on the Rapier with a price tag to match: one Intruder ASF costs are equivalent to four Rapiers. It also has something else the rapier lacked: a bomb compartment. The Intruder's bomb bay allows for heavier and more efficient attacks on larger tagets. It also takes on a more versitile role. Better maneuvering increases its fighter capabilities, but it is also more effective at bombarding larger targets as well, making it difficult to be classified as either Attack or Fighter. I owe credit to a far more talented builder than myself, dasnewten over on flickr. His Naganata, served as a heavy influence for this ship. Okay, enough of that. Let's let the photos speak for the ship now: Thanks for looking! I appologize that the photos could not be edited, the computer i use that has photo shop on it crashed. You can see more photos, including WIP pics here. Blogged by The Brothers Brick and The Un-Sung Brick.
