The Toa Ghetta . In the time before time, there was a great and industrious city called Ghetta Nui. Four legendary Toa were sent to protect the city from darkness. Little did they suspect that darkness would come from within. Despite the Toa's efforts to convince the matoran of Ghetta Nui to slow down production so as to reduce pollution and conserve resources, the matoran would not heed the Toa's warnings. Instead, the matoran turned against one another and their Toa protectors, hording what little resources they could obtain for themselves. One by one, the Toa were defeated by the gangs of matoran that they worked so hard to protect. Now their once-great city is sullied and tarnished by bigotry, violence, and pollution. .
Weapons: Two swords, sharp-edged wings
Powers/Abilities: Shielding, flight, great strength and invulnerability
Valens was the brave and noble leader of the Toa Ghetta. With his near-invulnerability and strength, he was able to shake off almost any attack and return it with a far more powerful blow.
Valens' wings are strong and sharp, and can be used in battle as weapons or means of protection as well as for flight.
Valens watched over the production of materials and mining of Ghetta Nui, attempting to increase recycling of goods and reducing the need to mine more materials.
Weapons: Shadow spear, sharp-edged wings
Powers/Abilities: Flight (including the ability to hover), control over the light and darkness
Umillu was the most cunning and creative Toa of the group. He used his abilities to blind his enemies with a flash of light, then plunge them both in total darkness. He then would glide silently behind his opponent and strike the recovering foe.
Umillu could also fly, but could also hover; a trait that only Solunus could copy, and only then by causing much noise and turbulence. Umillu could hover silently in the shadows, able to use stealth to his advantage.
Umillu had the gift of fairness as well. His ability to see both the light and dark sides of an argument allowed him to make the wisest decisions, giving him the nickname of the "Magistrate of Ghetta Nui".
Weapons: Warhammer, shield, sharp-edged wings
Powers/Abilities: Ability to use the powers of a nearby Rahi, control over water, flight
Ramar, Toa of the Sea. By nature a kind being, Ramar could pass into a violent rage when prompted with violence. He could borrow the strength of the Rahi about him and wield his heavy hammer like it was a shortsword. This power, combined with his ability to control water, let him overpower or completely obliterate any foe. He could only ever spar with the indestructable Valens, the one being who could withstand multiple blows from Ramar.
Ramar protected the seas of Ghetta Nui from pollution and over-fishing of the local Rahi.
His hammer, which weighs about the same as a large turaga. Need a building knocked down? No problem!
Ramar's shield was made from the scale of a mighty leviathan. The great fish threatened to destroy the entire coastline of Ghetta Nui, but was tamed and befriended by Ramar. The shield is said to be impenetrable.
His wings allow Ramar to fly in the air, but also to swim at high speeds in the water, similar to a penguin.
Weapons: Daggers, sharp-edged wings
Powers/Abilities: Speed, supersonic flight, control over air
Solunus, the untouchable Toa of Air. A tech wiz, Solunus modified his two daggers to be better shaped and balanced for throwing. After they were thrown, Solunus relied on his powerful wings and fists to defeat any foe with a flurry of dozens of blows per second.
His wings, coupled with his Great Mask of Speed, allowed Solunus to trabel at staggering speeds. He could fly faster and higher than all of his brothers combined. Sometimes, he would simply fly through a target at speeds faster than a bullet, destroying it completely.
Before he lost his powers, Solunus was the protector of the skies of Ghetta Nui. Solunus' laws reduced air pollution greatly in exchange for protection against numerous airborne dangers.
