EMPIRE OF DARKNESS: CHAPTER 14
The evil GALACTIC EMPIRE, led by Palpatine, the evil SITH LORD SIDIOUS, relentlessly sends his merciless assassin pupil DARTH KALOS to eradicate the few remaining traces of the noble and brave Jedi Order.
Meanwhile, some brave men and women prepare to strike against the tyranny of the Empire, to break loose from the chains of evil and to establish a good, peaceful rule and to save the denizens of the Galaxy…
“Good morning, friends.” Said Ricky, looking over the crowd. “Glad to see so many can make it, the Empire has been thinning our ranks recently.”
“It’s about time we start doing the same!” A voice shouted.
“I agree, Davis” Replied he to the shouter. “But first, reports on the war.”
“Our ally OOM-27 successfully disrupted an Imperial convoy headed to an unknown destination last week, that’s one small victory. We also gained local support on Sluis Van, Saluecami, and Vesila.”
“And thus, comes our turn to strike…”
"The information we stole from the Imperials on Carida indicates some sort of secret plan. No clue what or where it is, so we'll need more information. But I'm sure it's something important, so shutting it down is a big priority. We'll need to find some Imperial information too. There's a base on Alcoz 3 that has a huge database, one of the largest in the Empire, so that would be out best bet. I suggest of Rob and I go there, along with Davis, Allana, Ty, Rocky, and of course more troops." Stated Ricky.
Davis interjected, "One of the largest databases in the Empire? Do you have any idea how heavily guarded it would be? That's a suicide mission!"
Answering him, Ricky said, "Not really, Davis. You see, I said Alcoz 3 because I helped build that very base, during the Clone Wars. There's a small escape passageway that I remembered, and I sent in a small probe to check it out to see if it was still there. The probe confirmed its existance, so here we are. We can sneak through it, have a look at the database, and then blow up the whole place."
"That sounds better." Replied Davis.
Everyone leaves the room, except Rocky and Ricky.
“I hope you know what you’re doing, Ricky. This is awfully risky.” Said Rocky to Ricky.
“Have trust, Rocky. I got this all planned out.” Ricky responded.
“Everything should go to plan…”
“Let’s hope it goes that way. I've had enough surprises in my life.” Rocky replied. The Jedi could tell when the ex-clone was thinking about his now-Sith son. It was a touchy subject, one not brought up often.
Meanwhile, on the urban planet of Media, just another day was coming to the end. People were going home to their families, after a long day at work. For some, the day was not yet over.
But the end of their day was near nonetheless.
“There’s a Jedi here.” Announced Darth Kalos to the crowd, as he activated his lightsaber.
“And what if there is?” Ventured a brave guard.
“Hand him to me and no one else gets hurt.” Stated the Sith.
“Very well…” One of the others sighed.
“I was joking.”
“You know, people are gullible.” Observed Kalos to himself. “I used to be gullible you know. My father did tell me I was betraying everything that was good in the world…” Mused the Sith as he did his bloody work. “No, I don’t believe I did. Do you?” Asked Kalos to the man he had just decapitated.
“I thought so. I’m not a betrayer. I just switched to the right side. Evil? Who needs it?” The Sith cut down more people. “I’m doing my job. Bringing order and peace to a chaotic world. We just use the full extent of our powers… Dark side? No… Just another side. My father, there’s an evil man. He fought in the Clone Wars, blindly obeying orders for years. Blind obedience is what gets you used. Like you, Jedi!”
“Sith! You’ll pay for those you’ve murdered!” Accused the Jedi.
“No, Jedi, you will pay! The thousand years your dogmatic ways oppressed the galaxy will be paid for!” Counter-accused Darth Kalos. “You’re so convinced your way is the right way, never thinking, never stopping to ask if you really are the so-called good-side! I stopped and asked, and here I am, more powerful than ever! Behold!”
Kalos’ saber flew into the Jedi’s companion, slaying him instantly. “And now, your time has arrived Jedi. I will give you a fight you will remember.”
With a blast of the Force, Kalos sent the Jedi flying through the door from whence he came.
As the Jedi flew through the door, he noticed another guard. "You there!" He ordered. "With me!"
Together, the Jedi and guard charged the wicked Sith, but to no avail.
The Guard met his end like his counterparts. Now it was a battle between the Jedi and Sith.
"Are these the lies the Sith have told you? Are these the things? The Jedi are for peace and order! The Empire just wants to destroy those things!"
"You lie, Jedi! You fiends attacked our emperor! You were trying to take over the whole time!"
"Now, like the rest of you scum, you will die!"
Kalos jumped up in the air with the Force, proceeding to pounce upon the Jedi.
He overpowered the Jedi, then sliced off his hand.
Pushing the Jedi away, Kalos yelled, "Now you will die, you scum!"
The Jedi yelled feebly, "Why?"
"Because of what you worthless slime have done! Because you are trying to destroy our beautiful Empire!"
"Your death is at hand!" Kalos exclaimed.
In one fell swoop, the Sith had severed the Jedi's head from his body.
"Thus it is done, and thus victory is made! Justice has been served!" The Sith proclaimed, drawing attention to himself. "Now, all that remains are the witnesses."
Kalos drew the terrible power of the Dark Side of the Force into his body and released the energy in a savage burst of power.
Temporarily out of breath, Kalos observed the scene he had caused. Bodies were strewn about the floor, much to his pleasure. They were all traitors, in league with the Jedi. They deserved death.
However, one was not dead yet. He rushed towards Kalos in rage at what the Sith had committed.
"Come then!" Taunted Kalos at the man. "Take one step closer to doom, traitor!"
And so ended the man's life, at the hands of the maniacal Sith. He hadn't needed to die, but it was his fault for charging him.
"A good days work done." Stated Darth Kalos, leaving the scene.
Well, that was EOD Chapter 14. I’d like to thank my friend Awesome-o-saurus for helping me out with this one. He’ll probably be helping out with the rest too. I figured that since he already manipulated one multiverse comic, he might as well manipulate mine as well. :P
-I took my time with this too. Sincerely, AOS.
