Sojourner IV . "Day 33, personal log, Flight officer Charles Freder. Begin log. Despite the unending monotony, unyielding boredom, and the continuous and mercilessly annoying cackling of my fellow crewmen..." . "...Moreover, I don't appreciate their habitual desire to-" "Chuck." "-their desire to-" "CHUCK!" "What?!" "You're on VOX." "So?" "So I'd rather you enjoyed your babbling in the solace of your own mind, not in my ear." "Alright, alright, turning over to re-" Here's my project I've been working on for a few days now. Got a wonderful deal on those 20-1/4 circle pieces on Ebay, just $5.24 after S&H. Compared with an average minifig, circa 1970 astronaut. "Oh, what I would have given for one of these things in my day..." Several decks tall, it is entirely playable by dis-assembly. On end, in the 'landed' position, the vessel becomes a fixed fortress that boasts a 360 degree field of fire. In their constant meddlesome ways on other planets, it has been used twice to aid in liberations of oppressed peoples. Here's the top. AKA, the flight deck. Crew accommodations: 1. Control deck, also doubling as the specimen analysis lab. Crew accommodations: 2 Weapons deck, though mainly a peaceful vessel, it becomes necessary at some times to defend oneself. Crew accommodations: 0. Living deck. Crew accommodations: 1. Engineering, housing the engine core, EVE suit, and all other important ships systems. "Control, we have a negative on that landing pattern, please advise to the nearest Starbucks. Over." "Chuck, hit the gas! We've got incoming traffic!" Of course, here is the obligatory black-light photo. I was pleased with how this turned out. Thanks to our fellow talented MOCer Eric for the layout photos!
