Exploration Rover Prototype I . 6 wheeled rover featuring spot turning. With Video. . After a long time I'm back posting a new creation: This is my first prototype of a rover, which can spot turn and steer normaly. It has all wheel drive so the lack of differentials between the wheels makes the vehicle hard to steer. The spot turning function activated by three pneumatic cylinders makes maneuvering easier. The axles are powered by two 9V motors at the rear transmitted via six worm gears. The motor at the front steers the vehicle. Bottom view Moving forward Steering The outer wheels flap over to spot turn This switch changes the direction of the left side motor, so only one wire to the control is necessary. And here's the video: Please rate and comment!
