Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept . Hello guys, here my new model I present to you, the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept, packed –as usual- with a good amount of details and elements. It’s the 2nd time that I fall in “an easy model to build” trap, the 1st one of course was the Ford Shelby Super Snake model, and now it’s the Challenger, it’s even harder to build than the Mustang, when I first decided to build the Challenger I said: “what a piece of cake, I would finish it in like 3 nights!”, but now after more than 3 weeks working on this model I can guarantee you that it was one tough piece of build, looks like all the American Muscles not easy to translate into LEGO :0 Never mind, hope you like my work, thanks for visiting my page :) . DODGE Dodge is a United States-based brand of cars, minivans, sport utility vehicles, and pickup trucks, manufactured and marketed by Chrysler Group LLC in more than 60 different countries and territories worldwide. Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company in 1900 to supply parts and assemblies for Detroit's growing auto industry, Dodge began making its own complete vehicles in 1914. The brand was sold to Chrysler Corporation in 1928, passed through the short-lived DaimlerChrysler merger of 1998–2007 as part of the Chrysler Group, was a part of Chrysler LLC owned by Cerberus Capital Management, a private equity investment firm, and is now a part of the Chrysler Group LLC which has an alliance with Fiat. Fiat has plans to evolve many Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep existing platforms and products into Fiat-Chrysler co-developed vehicles. DODGE Challenger The Dodge Challenger is the name of three different automobile models marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler since 1970. On December 3, 2007, Chrysler started taking deposits for the third-generation Dodge Challenger which debuted on February 6, 2008 simultaneously at the Chicago Auto Show and Philadelphia International Auto Show. Listing at US$40,095, the new version is a 2-door coupe which shares common design elements with the first generation Challenger, despite being significantly longer and taller. The chassis is a modified (shortened wheelbase) version of the LX platform that underpins the 2006-Current Dodge Charger, 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum, and the 2005-Current Chrysler 300. The LX platform was adapted from the Mercedes E Class, reflecting the German company's ownership of Chrysler at the time and quest for economies of scale. All(7119) 2008 models were SRT8s and equipped with the 6.1 L (370 cu in) Hemi and a 5-speed AutoStick automatic transmission. The entire 2008 US run of 6,400 cars were pre-sold (many of which for above MSRP), and production commenced on May 8, 2008; Chrysler Canada offered a further 670+ SRTs uniquely badged as the Challenger 500(paying homage to Charger and Coronet 500s) all of which were shipped to Canadian Dodge dealers. Chrysler of Mexico is offering only 100 of this car for that country with a 6.1 liter V8 and 425 brake horsepower (317 kW) (SAE); the version is SRT8. Chrysler auctioned off two 2008 SRT8 for charity with car #1 going for $400,000.00 to benefit the notMYkid non-profit organization, and a "B5" Blue #43 car fetching a winning bid of $228,143.43 with the proceeds going to Victory Junction Gang Camp. SRT10 Concept A concept vehicle using Dodge Viper SRT-10 engine and Bilstein shocks appeared in 2008 SEMA show. Front view: Here're some front shots for that mean looking dude :) Rear view: Here're some rear shots from different angles... The Functional Elements: As usual; everything’s open… Hood, doors, trunk. The interior: A shot for the interior from the passenger side. And another one from the driver side. Some details inside, you can see the cup holders and the glove box. A shot from the outside shows the rear seats, the Challenger can take up to 4 adult passengers, room for all the family ;) If I have one I wouldn't care about the family at all :p The engine: SRT POWER! The Dodge Challenger SRT10 Concept comes from the Dodge Viper 8.4-liter, all aluminum V-10 engine with 600 horsepower and 560 lb. ft. of torque. Future A minor refresh will come in mid to late 2011 production of the Challenger. According to OntarioStreetCar.com, it is rumored that the new 2011 Dodge Challenger will have a brand new powertrain along with other amenities. It is said that the Challenger will receive a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 instead of the original SRT 6.1L which may push between 475 - 525 Horsepower. OntarioStreetCar.com also said that the new Challenger will also be equipped with a roof mounted fin-style antenna, a new steering wheel, and new door handles along with a passive entry feature which would allow the owner to open the door while the key fob is in his or her pocket. Hope you liked it guys, and see you soon with a new model, I have another one which is almost done, so stay tuned ;)
