Frauenkirche Dresden . LEGO model of "Frauenkiche" in Dresden. The real on was destroyed in WW II and rebuild from 1993-2005. . For more pics please visit LEGO Frauenkirche at or my brickshelf gallery. The "Frauenkirche" (Chruch of our ladies) in Dresden was destroyed in World War II. After the reunification of Germany people decided to rebuild the church and use the parts which where found in the ruin. Reconstruction and fund raising startet in 1993. The reopening was in October 2005. After a short visit in Dresden I decided to try to build this church in LEGO. The colours tan, old and new darkgrey for the exterieur and light yellow and white for the interieur seems to work perfect. The chruch is 130 cm high in total, including the "Unterkirche" in the basement.
