66.5 N . . This creation is one that's been in the back of my mind for years now, something I haven't built because of a lack of official sails. But when I saw the Imperial Flagship for the first time at BrickCon last year, this idea immediately popped into my head, and I just had to go ahead and try to build it properly. This ship is based off of the Sloop Providence replica, which is docked about five minutes from my house; as I would drive by it, it would just scream at me to build it. Although it is a Revolutionary War ship, I love the arctic whaling scene too much not to make it a whaling ship (going after a narwhal.) I look at this MOC as the refined and definitive Thar She Blows!, which was built in December 08'. Having built ships in the past, I try to build each in a different way. In this case, the hull is built studs-out, with a series of hinges and string winding it up inside - it was surprisingly stable! You can find more pictures at Brickshelf once moderated.
