Anomaly Research Vehicle . A giant land rover and carrier suitable for trekking across the most foreboding of terrain through the most hazardous of climates all in the name of scientific research! . The A.R.V., Anomaly Research Vehicle, is an all-terrain mobile research facility. Based in the universe of the popular British television series, PRIMEVAL, the A.R.V is a U.S. military vehicle commissioned after the discovery of anomalous rips in time and space that allowed prehistoric and futuristic creatures passage from millions of years in every direction of earth's geologic timeline to our modern world. The A.R.V. is designated to travel through the wormholes, called anomalies, and conduct scientific research on the provided environment. The scientific studies benefit advances in significant fields such as geology and paleontology. The model is a composition of official LEGO sets #7475 and #7476, with several contributions from my personal LEGO collection. This is my latest model, having revised it's design several times. I have finally completed a satisfactory creation, I am quite happy with this alpha design. ^Both sides of the carrier have ramps for minifigures to stand on, the right side here rests a mounted tranquilizer and a sonar satellite for mapping the terrain ahead. ^The left side of the carrier rests a dirt bike and raft for access to areas the A.R.V. cannot reach. ^The pilot of the carrier sits in the back steering the massive vehicle across risky terrain with only accurate sonar readings of what lies ahead as a guide. A ramp for access on and off the cockpit, a rack of emergency tools and a trashcan complete the detail. ^The front end of the carrier is actually a ramp that can be raised and lowered like a drawbridge for the land rover to deploy. ^The land rover features caging which protects the driver from vicious dinosaurs that may attack the vehicle, which when the rover is resting on the carrier can be lowered and used as ladders. A truck bed shielded by a tarp contains medical supplies in case of an emergency. ^What the carrier looks like when not transporting the land rover. Notice the massive treads, able to navigate over obstacles such as fallen trees and large boulders and even pass effortlessly over steep trenches. ^The crew assigned to the A.R.V. include (from left to right) a weapons manager, a professor of paleontology, a geologist and a professional wilderness survivalist with a strong Australian accent.
