Esgaroth (Lake-town) . Esgaroth is a town, built on wooden pillars in the center of the Long Lake in the east of Middle Earth. The inhabitans are humans. On its western shores lays Mirkwood. It's the largest forest of Middle Earth. There live elves under King Thranduil (the father of Legolas), who trade with the men on the Long Lake. Erebor (the Loneley Mountain) is not far away. One day Smaug the Golden, the last of the big dragons, who lived in the mountain (in the old halls of Thrain II), became angry cause Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit (sent by the dwarves, who wanted to conquer the mountain back) stole a goblet from him. The dragon learnt, that the inhabitans of esgaroth helped them and therefor he destroyed the town in the same night. But Bard the Archer, the Captain of the Lake-town warriors shot him with the legendary black arrow, which never fails its aim. After that the people of Esgaroth had to rebuild their home and Bard became their their new leader. . It's the most popular creation of "most popular today" It's on the homepage!! (oct. 21st, 2010)
