Mig-60 . Based on a consolidated Mig-17 airframe, the 60 is a 21st Century version of this iconic aircraft. . Conceived as a replacement for the Indian A-2, it was on the drawing board when the military canceled the order in favor of the Su-225. The company produced it anyway as a private venture and it proved to be rather a good aircraft. Using 25% fewer components and about as little strategic materials, the 60 has a level flight speed of 1.8 Mach, 0.8 Mach faster than the A-2. It uses an improved version of the R3480 engine that was meant to retrofit the A-2. Stable, sturdy, easy to fly, and dirt cheap, it was snapped up in quantity by the Ivory Coast Air Force. Where it easily outclassed most other African fighters. This is the first fighter made explicitly for a foreign legionary purpose. Strengths: Agile. Strong. Nimble. Weaknesses: Slow. Limited munitions capability. Armed with twin 30mm cannon, two-four air-to-air missiles, and up to 1,000kg of bombs, it is very versatile in various roles. The green stripe around the fuselage is the 1 Sqn. ICAF markings. I couldn't be as fancy with the landing gear as I have been, given the rather 'brief' nature of the design.
