MITHRAS! . A small landscape experiment build way back in 2010, early December to be precise. It’s like ancient history,no? No, I guess not. . Here we see three mythical Mithras in their native environment, a rocky cave. Don't worry about where the rest of the cave is people, just go with it. Crystals surround them and a strange, neon green liquid flows through the cave. The liquid is what forms the crystals, as it hardens over centuries, it leaves behind crystals of all colors. The Mithras then gather up the crystals and sell them to the Hard Knocks Gang to enhance their rather dubious pleasures. What is that you say? With all these fine neon colors there should be UV light? YOU ARE CORRECT! When the light in the cave fades, the neon liquid glows like Parrington Levens sheets under blacklight. Yes, it seems to be our only trick, using UV light, but this time we have added a little something extra: The cave of the Mitras is unstable, and from deep in the Earth’s crust, lava boils. Sometimes the glow from the lave shines up through the crystalline formations within the cave. Now, wasn’t that just the bee’s knees? Final shot without UV and showing the fine glow. (Two Lego light up bricks, in case you were curious, or too drunk to figure it out on your own….I’m looking at you Heath). Dem Notes: These pics have been on my computer for a bit and I thought it was high time to post them. Hope you enjoyed them, and if not, well then that was five minutes of your life you will never get back…..MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!.
