BOTS . Some robots I built at different times. . Here's a number of robots I made recently, plus an odd species. Red Repair 1.1 Red Repair 1.1 is a small repair bot used to aid engineers and mechanics in building and repairing machinery. It is equipped with a wrench (which also serves as a hand) and a power drill (different ends available for 10 SPG each). On the back is it's exhaust vent. Due to it's small size and fairly good insulation, the robot gets hot very quickly. The robot is a favorite of cats, who love stand behind the vent. Even the kind that can rip your head off. Like that one. Price: 100 SPG Availability: GEN Hardware Stores Warranty: 2 years Gray Repair 5.0 Gray Repair 5.0 is an advanced hover-bot (pardon my photos, I took many and NONE turned out well for this one) with powerful drills (attachments not included). It uses simple mechanisms to maximum effect, using more non-electric mechanical power-boosters (such as the lever and the pulley) and electric motors, keeping it cool. It also lasts a lot longer. Price: 150 SPG Availability: GEN Hardware Stores Warranty: 10 years Race: Reglids The Reglids are a carnivorous race who haunt alien planets in the outer reaches of the Galactic Empire. Reglid's preferred dish is human flesh, particularly those of young children. As a result, they are seen as a threat by the Galactic Knights Empire, and have a high price on their head. The species appears to have some mode of space travel, for whenever the Empire expands and wipes them out on one of it's planets (which they previously had very little access to due to it being at it's outermost reaches), "stars" are seen shooting across the sky, and whatever habitable planets the Galactic Knights Empire colonists arrive on have these strange creatures inhabiting them. The Reglids have one hand and one laser saw. The saw is a powerful tool, and an odd biological ability. The hand is good for gripping, but functions more like a pincer than a hand. Their spines resemble chicken legs, and their brains are stored in the large round part of their spinal cords. Reward for Capture: 150 SPG dead, 1000 SPG alive (very difficult) Junkbot 1.2 Junkbot 1.2 is a scrap metal bot made from...scrap metal. It's very reliable, but it's also costly and odd. The Junkbot has two sets of four flame canisters on it's arms which are useful for welding. As such, it makes for a great mechanic's assistant. Price: 1000 SPG Availability: Rare-GEN Ultra-Mega-Huge-Store Exclusive Warranty: 1 year Steam Centaurion 9.1 The Steam Centaurion (yes, that's intentional) is a 3-legged guardian robot. They are modeled after ancient Victorian era robot blueprints found in the Galactic Knights Empire's secret Earth archives. The robot has proved to be extremely tough and more powerful than previously anticipated. It is also flexible. The robot's energy core is in between it's legs and it's torso. Price: 15,000 SPG for a set of four Availability: Exclusive to online shop Warranty: 2 years Heavy Metal Guard 3.7 The Heavy Metal Guard 3.7 is one of GEN Electronics' most advanced robots. Due to their popularity and power, they were contracted after bidding war between BF2 Enterprises and Galactic Knights Empire Government by the former to produce an 20,000 of these robots in exchange for 3 times the starting value. As a result, the market value of the robot has gone up, since the GEN Electronics has no surplus of these (their manufacturing lines must produce hundreds of thousands of pieces of machinery a day, and in addition to manufacturing, importing data into the robots takes days to complete). The robot rotates at the torso. It's arms hang down from it's "shoulders", which are placed directly above it's visual sensors. Both arms are equipped with laser guns. The robot is stable on solid ground (I take off those tiles when putting it on an 8x8 grille brick). Price: 10,000 SPG Availability: Temporarily Discontinued Warranty: 2 years Design Notes: I was working on my evil lair (no I will NOT post pics of it until it is finished), and I started putting robots in it. First it was some Battle Droids, then my two Magna Guards, and I suddenly wanted to make my OWN robot. Preposterous as it sounds, I did so. The result was the one I like most-the Heavy Metal Guard 3.7. I continued, and made the two small robots. I also made the Centaurion (if you still haven't guessed, it's a mash of Centaur and Centurion), and I like it-a lot. This wasn't posted for a while because my pics of the two smallest robots were blurry, so I had to take more (and the camera disappeared for days, along with the tripod). The Junkbot is named after Junk Bot, and I made it shortly before I went to California (as in 10 minutes before I left for the airport). So what am I working on at the moment? My Evil Lair (I said, quit bugging me! I will NOT post photos!), a Neo Time Cruisers Base (yes, THIS will be posted tomorrow. Now can you PLEASE leave me alone?), a greeble Bot (totally inspired by LegoLuverMan from FlickR-best greebler EVER, top notch robot builder too)-the greeble bot is VERY off balance, as intentioned, but I might need to balance the legs a little more-or add a third leg...hmm....or I could just cheat like I did with those other two and add rocket boosters. I'm also working on a larger greeble bot. This one is not large enough to use TECHNIC parts (I'll make one soon so I can get a realistic shape), but it's large enough that I can use a wand/lightsaber blade as the leg front. I think I've gone robot crazy. They're almost as fun as spaceships. Almost!! Comments and criticism are appreciated!
