Chevrolet Tahoe . Hereís a replica of the 1999 2door Chevy Tahoe, one of the best SUVís that General Motors made, this model features working elements like working steering, opening doors, hood and trunk, beige interior and chrome rims, hope you like it, thanks for your visit. . Chevrolet: Chevrolet (pronounced /ˌʃɛvrəˈleɪ/), also known as Chevy (pronounced /ˈʃɛvi/), is a brand of vehicle produced by General Motors Company (GM). Founded by Louis Chevrolet and ousted GM founder William C. Durant on November 8, 1911, Chevrolet was acquired by General Motors in 1917. Chevrolet was positioned by Alfred Sloan to sell a lineup of mainstream vehicles to directly compete against Henry Ford's Model T in the 1920s, with "Chevrolet" or "Chevy" being at times synonymous with GM. In North America, Chevrolet offers a full range of automobiles, from subcompact cars to medium-duty commercial trucks. Tahoe: The Chevrolet Tahoe (and very similar GMC Yukon) are full-size SUVs from General Motors. Chevrolet and GMC sold two different-sized SUVs under their Blazer/Jimmy model names through the early 1990s. This situation changed when GMC rebadged the full-size Jimmy as the Yukon in 1992. Chevrolet waited until 1994's introduction of a four-door version to rebadge the mid-size S-10 Blazer as the Blazer, renaming the full-size Blazer as the Tahoe. The Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon currently serve as General Motors' full-size SUVs. Lengthened wheelbase models are available for both as the Suburban for the Tahoe and Yukon XL for the Yukon. A luxury Denali model joined the Yukon lineup in 1998. As of 2002, a Denali version of the Yukon XL was also available as the Yukon XL Denali The overall view: Let's begin with some shots of the model all around; front, side, rear and top views: The working elements: As usual, everything open. Notice the tiny space I made behind the doors so you don't have to push hard to close the doors, it's one of the LEGO hinges as a lot of you already know. The trunk: I made the lower part open in the opposite direction of the rear window, just like in the real car. The engine: Beneath the hood sits a Vortec 5700 V8, rated for 255 horsepower. Two-door 4WD Tahoes with LS or LT trim can be equipped with a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8 instead of the Vortec 5700. The interior: A shot with the roof off so you can see the interior. Notice the seat belts and the arm rest. Hope I did fine on the interior; I was very limited with the beige pieces. The details: Some front details, front grill, hooks under the bumper, chrome chevy emblem, license plate...etc. And some rear details, rear window wiper, chrome exhaust tip...etc. Even the smallest details, windshield wipers, antenna, side view mirrors...etc. Good bye image: I'm sure it doesn't need a treads to drive on the snow; but I liked to build some for it ;-) Hope you liked it. The real thing:
