TIE avenger . The TIE/ad was the descendent of the TIE Advanced series but to avoid confusion, they were called TIE Avengers. They had a few similarities but were a much more advanced and deadly fighter. At It's time, there were no other fighters in the galaxy that could out-maneuver these, so the Rebel pilots called them "Brights." This particular starcraft features four Sienar Fleet Systems L-s9.3 laser cannons and two standard laser cannons on the "chin" of the craft. Also another standard feature is four SFS M-g-2 general purpose warhead launchers that could fire up to four concussion missiles each, or proton torpedoes, heavy rockets, or space bombs. This fighter also includes a smaller and more powerful Hyperdrive than that of the TIE Advanced and also featured Deflector shields and a tractor beam. .
