How to (easily) remove tiles. . A simple and easy way to remove tiles is to use a pocketknife. It is an easy technique to master, and doesn't hurt you, break nails, bend boards, or take long. All you need is a pocket knife, or something with a thin blade. . All you need to do is insert the blade at the base of the tile, and wiggle back and forth as shown. It takes less than a second to do each tile, no matter where it is. you can even remove tiles that are surrunded by other pieces. Again, just insert the blade in the gap, and wiggle back and forth- this may take up to 10 seconds. my mosaic- I didn't have enough tan tiles to finish.- do you like it? you can also use this technique for any other piece just make sure you have a thin blade.
