Concept Truck and Trailor . This is my Custom Concept Truck and trailor. . You'll have to bare with me here, there is a lot of detail crammed into this truck ;) I've been wanting to build a truck and trailor for as long as i can remember, but never had the pieces available until recently (after several Bricklink orders). My Concept cars needed something to transport them between race tracks so this was the perfect opportunity to create the truck. I have a couple of people to thank for giving me inspiration to build this, firstly Nick Barrett with his beautiful Massive Red Lorry and BrickOnWheels with all his superbly built trucks. I wanted to blend a bit of technic with system bricks so i used the recent racing truck chassis as the basis for the truck. This made it quite tricky as the chassis was an odd number wide. Because of this the truck is 20 wide at the back and 18 wide at the front. Anyway lets have a look at at it and i'll talk you through the many lttle details... An overall view of the truck and trailor... Do you like the stripes? I think they work quite well and make it look a bit different to most trucks. Notice the hand of god for the steering. Let's have a look at the truck on its own. I really like the front view it looks like it means business. Notice the working light bricks (Shame they're yellow) theses are activated using the gear stick in the cab. The front grille opens to reveal the radiator. Around to the back... There are also red light bricks at the back for the brakes. Nothing cleverr to activate them , just a brick clicked next to the switch. If you look closely at the back of the cab you might see a face. This was not intentional lol. I think it could be a lion, a king or maybe even jesus?? I quite like the brakes they look quite funky. The flap with the mysterious face on lifts up to reveal the V8 engine, you're thinking now that that's not a lot of power for such a big vehicle, but there is more power to be revealed shortly. The engine looks nice and futuristic. The roof of the cab comes clean off to reveal the detailed interior. Before we look inside let's have a look at the opening doors etc. It's about time as made opening doors on one of my vehicles and i have to thank my good friend Mortalswordsman for the help with these :) Door open And side open :) The ladder thingy folds up... and then down, for easyish access, this is quite crude and i could do better but i won't lol A view from the top with the roof off and everything open. Notice the bed in the back. which explains why the cab is so lengthy. The detailed Dashboard with built in sat nav and auto-pilot, i'm quite proud of this. I like the seats too they look comfy even if they are a little too small. Comes equiped with a widesreen TV and two unnamed games consoles for all your entertainment needs. The bed section can be easily removed to reveal the engine. The trans blue things are hydrogen fuel cells which power electric motors in all six wheels. Two of the fuel cells can be removed and look like this... The seats section can also be removed to reveal the steering. A shot with both sections removed. What's this?...It's giant lego man showing of the working sun visors. That's enough of the truck let's take a look at the trailor. I really like the little windows on the top. The front of the trailor is transparent so you can see the cars in the back. The back looks quite mean and opens up. If you want a closer look at the cars they are already on Moc pages under Custom Concept. I used a section of my Monté Carlo track to create another tier so all of my 26 mini F1 cars can also be transported :) One final shot of everything together. Thanks for for taking the time to look at/read this, this moc took me about 2 months to build, but i did get distracted by other creations too. You've spent this long viewing this you may as well spend another minute rating and commenting on this, it would be much appreciated. Thanks De Tomaso
