1/13 Scale r.c. KAMAZ 4911 (Truck Trial) . Please excuse the distortion of the images due to mocpages ONLY ALLOWING LANDSCAPE PHOTOS! . I've finally managed to build a truck trial vehicle that actually works! I am, to say the least, a bit pleased with myself. It doesn't look too bad either As usual, several overall shots, but no history about the vehicle, as I don't know any! Apart from it developing 2700 Nm of torque from its 17.24 litre V8 Rear 3/4 Front Back Top, the cage is quite flexible, which helps when it rolls over Bottom, mmm, gears Side, I'll have to find some sort of cloth to go over that The self levelling pendular suspension, as the front wheels rotate clockwise, the rear rotate anticlockwise along the axle, this means that it can be tilted to a higher angle than if the suspension was stabilised with shock absorbers, but they are slightly more fragile A last minute attempt at the doors, they could be worse I suppose The interior. Just use your imagination and pretend it looks good. I ran out of bits OK? and I couldn't find any pictures of the real one. The steering goes through 10 gears and has a final ratio of 9:1 This is the front block that I used for drive and steering, which I nabbed from Sariel's Jeep Wrangler, he doesn't want credit but I'm giving it to him, because he deserves it. Mine is 2 studs wider, which puts the width out of proportion but it makes it more stable, and the wide wheel arches mean that I have not broken any Truck Trial rules The rear block, also based on Sariel's Wrangler, but my version is stronger under a heavy load, and doesn't twist as easily A little lookie at the pushrods which work the self levelling pendular suspension (great fun to say) Final gear ratio for the drive is 20/12 x 20/12 x 24/8 = 8.333:1 Top speed is around 0.261 km/h Highest ascent angle is 47 I'll try and get videos soon Credit to Sariel for the Axle block ideas and Sheepo for the suspension, thank you
