Why?
Al Wahat . A fortified tower overlooking an oasis, for the medieval desert layout at BrickCon 2011. . Unfortunately this has to go into my suitcase to fly to seattle, so I couldn't build anything bigger. It's completely modular, so it comes apart in suitcaseable pieces. There's some dudes on the balcony. And on the defense tower to the side of the oasis. The whole thing fits on a 32x32 base, at 1 brick high to match the rest of the layout at BrickCon. A curved wall connects the defense tower to the main building, and shields the oasis from sandstorms. The door is the only opening in the lower stone wall. When the sands of time ran out, Dastan had to get a real job. Top view of the whole thing, it looks pretty tiny from above.
