MocOlympics Round 2 - Roger Brickjet vs Shannon Ocean . For the 2011 MocOlympics, Yellow Bracket, Round 2, in the category: Sherwood Forest - What happens in the forest, stays in the forest... What did Robin and his band of merry men get up to in between adventures? . My merry opponent: Shannon Ocean The 2011 MocOlympics home page. There must be something exciting going on...what are they looking at? Robin shouts from above: "Hey, if I get to the top now, I'll break my record again!" Yes, when he's out stealing from the rich and giving to the poor we all know him as "The Prince of Thieves"...but on the weekends he is also, the undisputed, "KING OF KONG"!! Yes, it's a one-liner this time, I had a lot more planned but the bottom of the tree trunk took me ages to feel satisfied with. Just a few closeups (of course I forgot the tree trunk!): Phew, that was a close call, I was going to finish this yesterday but fell asleep while reading to my son. Once again I went back to the first idea I got. If anyone doesn't know there's a movie/documentary(-ish) called "King of Kong" where two people play Donkey Kong to see who gets the highest score. This was my first forest scene, I had to borrow two old forestmen from my son and order the silly, pointy hats from bricklink. I think I will keep the tree and make the top part better. The base is octagonal and fell apart a lot until I found a way to secure it :) This is also the largest MOC I've made so far and I didn't realize it would be so hard to take clean pictures of it. I had to use part of my sons play table and move a lot of his lego out of the way but it still was very crowded :) Thanks for looking!
