Mobsters' Den . . Original Title (for contest): MIT Round 2. Ian vs Heath The required links: MIT Homepage My worthy opponent Heath Flor Echo Bracket Category/Quote: "Show me the money!" This is my entry for Round2 of the MIT. I went with the classic wealthy mobster theme (some inspiration from "Angels with filthy souls" i.e. the gangster show from Home Alone). I ran out of good brown bricks half way through the building process, so this creation was quite a scramble for pieces! I hope you enjoy what you see nonetheless! "Show me the money!" The boss (and of course my armchair design had to make a reappearance sometime). Tool of persuasion a.k.a Tommy gun (works every time). This poor fellow was late in "gathering" the bosses "dough" (that was a mistake). Hands up! Because the boss, of course, has a like-minded girlfriend... ...or maybe she's an inside agent for a secret law enforcement agency (like in Hitchcock films), but judging by that gun and expression, I doubt it! Overhead shot. The carpet: this was a fun technique to play with. Do you prefer yours "on the rocks"? Cigar and drinks. As much as I'd like to, I can't take full credit for the brilliance of the fireplace. I stole the basic design from Paul Vermeesch...I'm assuming he'll forgive me, yes? Mantel decor (above) and suit of armor (below). Thanks for stopping by and Soli Deo Gloria!
