Spyrius Tactical War Wagon . A tactical land vehicle in the Spyrius theme. . The Spyrius Tactical War Wagon was heavily utilized during the Unitron Conflict. Capable of being deployed as a temporary base, the War Wagon was ideal for exploring and inflitrating the Unitron homeworld. It consists of a heavily armed front section which can separate from the rear section. The rear section contains 4 vehicles - 2 land rovers and 2 probe fighters. The huge wheels are ideal for exploration on the rocky Unitron homeworld. There are 2 rotating laser gun turrets - 1 on each side of the vehicle. There is also a heavy laser cannon on the top. Close up view of the laser turrets on the side. The laser cannon! Let the destruction begin! Two probe fighters on the roof of the rear section. The joint between front and rear section. Another view of one of the manned laser turrets. Front view. There are 3 Spyrius commanders in command of the War Wagon. They're the dudes with the mustaches... The canopy design was inspired by the M:Tron Mega Core Magnetizer. I had a hard time to get it to lign up correctly, and I required quite a few rebuilds to get it right. This lock keeps the canopy in place. Open canopy, revealing the 3 Commanders. Side view. This is where the 2 sections of the vehicle are joined together. Separating the front section... The front and rear section side by side. This is the back of the front section. The hatch can open, revealing... ...a Spyrius commander, manning the laser cannon on top! I copied the periscope design from a MOC by Dave Simmons. Hope he doesn't mind! The solider in the periscope rotates with the cannon on top. Front section. Rear section, with the 2 probe fighters on top. I'm very happy with the design for these 2 probes - they're definitely very "swishable"! Side view, revealing the heavy caliber weapons of the probe. To ensure stability when the rear section is deployed as a base, these legs on the sides can be lowered so that the base is firmly planted in the ground. Both legs lowered. This raises the wheels slightly off the ground, ensuring additional stability. Close up shot of the rear hatch. What could be inside? Open Sesame... I see 2 blue spotlights... A ha! It's little planetary vehicle, ideal for snooping around the Unitron homeworld! But wait, there's more! 2 are better than one, so I added another land snooper! The 2 vehicles side by side! Ghost riders... Side view. The 4 vehicles on display. The base has been deployed, and a technician is preparing one of the snoopers for an undercover operation. That sure is a big spanner... The other vehicle, scouting the terrain. "Better see if there are any mines around here. Cause I'd hate to step on one!" The vehicle follows closely behind the minesweeper. "You first buddy. I'm right behind you!" Spyrius preparing for the invasion. Thanks for looking!
