LTC Megatron V1 . For LTC megatron, I wanted to capture megatron's gun mode in it's full glory. This alternate mode for the LTC megatron in more like a turret, but that's what makes it epic. I couldn't find the lamp-post pieces I used for the barrels in LDD, so I replaced them with 1x1 round bricks. . here's our first look at megatron in his turret mode. From the side, you can see that it's awesome. Here's a quick close up for the cool details. It also comes with an extra shoulder gun. I forgot to take any photos with it on his shoulder, but I did take some with it in vehicle mode. here's just a quick close up. The gun fits right on the side of the vehicle mode. Here's a close up to show you that. Okay, now for the transformation. First, you flip out the legs and feet. Then, and this might seem weird, but you need to twist it around on both the T-piece and the offset brick. Here's what it will look like when you do it to the T-piece Once you do it to the offset brick, it will look like this. Okay, now for the arms. You'll need to separate them (they're held together by one of those roundy-thingies) and bring down the shoulders. Then, you bring down the arms as much as you can without moving down the shoulders. be careful, if you move down the shoulders, the lock-in piece that will come in later will not work. For the next step, you'll need to go around to the front. You need to bring up the chest-plate, which will also reveal the back of the head. Anyway, to the back again. All you need to do is bring down the lock-in piece, made out of two hinges and a flat tile. This will lock in the shoulders, and also reveal the head. It's been twisted around so that it can be hidden in gun mode. For the final step of the transformation, you need to twist around the whole body at the head, so that everything is facing forward. You could just twist the head around to the front, but if I show you that way, then it will take two extra photos. Anyway, there you have it. Megatron's in robot mode. Here's a cool close up. You can see that the chest is made out of two binocular pieces. In a quick size comparison, you can see that he's not quite a commander class, but he's still taller than ROTF legends optimus prime, even when the prime is combined with jetfire. Here's the prototype. It kinda sucks, and it doesn't really look very menacing. From the back, you can see that everything still fits into place. I would have made the feet grey, but the grated slope bricks don't come in grey in my LDD. They only come in red or yellow, so red seemed better. NOW THIS IS MORE LIKE IT! This is the final version. Really mean-looking, and super powerful. I find it a shame that LDD doesn't have the lamp-post pieces so that I can make a different gun-barrel. I kinda built the gun piece after I repainted the megatron MOC. It's simple, but cool. Anyway, for my last photo, you can see that it fits on perfectly with the side of the head, to make it look like it's on his shoulder. I learnt that trick from the legends class universe megatron. Anyway, that's all there is for now, don't for get to post your comments. Until then, happy building!
