RGAT-131 "Echo" Mobile Suit (Version 2) . I took to heart some of the suggestions that were given me, and I applied them to the Echo for an improved unit. . The RGAT-131 Mass Production Mobile Suit is an independant venture by a lesser known, and as of yet, unknown corporation that has maintained its anonymity in order to preserve its nuetrality. Built from the ground up, the Echo Mobile Suit, as it's come to be called, is a very sturdy piece of hardware, featuring a level of durability almost on par with most of the major factions. A good amount of armor protects the mobile suit, while maintaining the speed and agility necesary for combat. Keep in mind, it's no Gundam, but against standard infantry mobile suits, it can hold its own. Unfortunately, as this was the corporation's first mobile suit to be mass produced, the addition of onboard weaponry was neglected, meaning that a default Echo came with absolutely no weapons. This is offset however by the modularity of the equipment packages that could be mounted to the Echo. The RGAT-131C is a Close quarters combat mobile suit variant, which mounts a left pauldron with a machine gun, and a right shoulder harness for an Anti-Armor energy sword. Beam sabres can be issued but are not currently considered mandatory. This mobile suit variant is light to maintain necesary mobility for close quarters battle. Echo Sword: This variant features an Anti-Armor Energy sword as the primary weapon. The left pauldron also features a fixed Gatling gun, and the right sword harness features a beamsabre. Echo Beam Buster: This variant is designed as a heavy weapons platform and features a pair of fixed beam cannons on armored pauldrons, which also mount a twelve round missile rack on each side. Beam cannons have also been fixed to the forearms. Echo Duo Sword: This variant trades the left pauldron Gatling for a second paired Armor Sword and beamsabre. Echo Gundam: A Gundam-esque head designed for the Echo as an alternate. COLOR VARIANTS This color variant is directly derived fromt he Strike Dagger, since I used it as reference. It looks decent. My Fiancee is a Gundam Girl, so I figured while I'm at it, I might as make a variant for her in her favorite color. IT turned out rather well, wouldn't you say? CREDITS: Credit to Thomas Z, to whose mobile suits I drew the initial inspiration, and a few of his techniques. Credit to Gundam SEED for the Strike Dagger, of which I used as a reference for the shaping and design. CREATOR's NOTES Okay, some improvements and two new variants, the Dual-sword, and the Beam Buster. The Sword holsters now feature beam sabres, and the proportions are better in my opinion. What do you think?
