Blood Upon the Snow: The Battle of Stalingrad . I made this Battle of Stalingrad scene for my school WW2 history project. Funnest school project EVER! Special thanks to my Lego mentor, Lucas Bonnema, for all his help and support. I used these same photos to create a Battle of Stalingrad tribute video - check it out in my WW2 creations folder! I'd love your input and ideas, so please rate and comment! . "CHARGE! For Mother Russia!" Battle of Stalingrad / December, 1942. "Die, Russian Swine!" The Germans open fire. "Los! (Fire!)" German PAK 38 50mm anti-tank gun. "Aaaaaah!" Russian is blown into the air by a German artillery shell. That HAD to hurt. Medic! Help me! Dead Russian sniper and burning skeleton from recent German artillery shelling, in town's bell tower. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Model 1938 Russian DSHK machine gun. "Heinrich! Get on that MG42!" German HQ under attack. (The guy in the red cap is a Major General.) A view from inside German HQ, looking toward the Russian onslaught. Russian HQ. A Russian machine gunner inside HQ, using a DP 28 (thanks, Kriss Olympis, for the wonderful design!) German PAK 88mm artillery gun. German camp on the outskirts of town, with heavy artillery pieces. Camouflaged German wurfkorper 42 300mm rocket system. (Thanks again, Kriss Olympis!) A female artillery team from the Russian 1077th anti-aircraft regiment, using a 76.2mm model 1942 field gun, defends Stalingrad from German armour - including Tiger tanks! One of the German Tiger Tanks that the 1077th managed to destroy before it could reach Stalingrad. Christmastime in the German camp. Even German colonels can use a cup of hot coco every once in awhile. German infantry reminisce about their families, and home, as they sit around the campfire. Stockpile of German supplies and winter equipment, behind a wall of sandbags.
