Volkwagen W12 Syncro . This is the Volkswagen W12 Syncro, a concept car built in 1997. It is named for its 12 cylinder engine, where the cylinders are arranged in a 'W' formation, essentially two V6 engines arranged side by side and connected to the same crankshaft. 'Syncro' comes from VW's Syncro all wheel drive system. While it was never put into production, several other versions of this supercar were designed, and even raced at the Nardo ring in Italy, setting various 24-hour records. This Lego version of the W12 Syncro has been sitting in my room unfinished for months, and I finally got a chance to finish it. I haven't built in yellow since my Lamborghini when I first joined MOC pages, and my collection of yellow has increased substantially since then, so this was a fun build. I chose this car because its design really caught my eye. I'll be honest, I feel like I rushed through finishing this guy, so it may not be quite up to the same standard as some of my other models, but I'm still pleased with it, and just happy to be building again. I hope you enjoy it! . First some pictures of the car all around: Next, some shots of the car with the doors open: The interior: I didn't have quite enough dark blue to do everything, so there is some gray and black in the trim. The engine cover opened up: And here is the mighty W12 engine for which the car is named: Now everything is open: Now a closer look at the huge sunroof and roll-cage: A close-up of the front: The huge side air intake behind the door: One of my favorite parts is the suspension, visible right in front of the windshield: And that's it, hope you enjoyed it! Also, not to ruin the surprise, but this car has a partner MOC, much like my Enzo Ferrari, in the form of a mosaic... However, it is at school right now, so as soon as I go back, I will take pictures and post them. Finally, for those of you concerned that I haven't been posting in a while, not to worry. It has been a busy semester, but I build when I can. Stay tuned for another MOC in the next few days; I already took pictures, I just need to get around to editing and posting them. I am also working on another big project currently which I am very excited about, but for the first time, I will be needing to order additional pieces specifically, so it may be some time before it gets posted. In the mean time, happy building to everyone, I always look forward to seeing new creations from everyone!
