HF Breakout MOCs . While waiting for the next round of the Self-MOC Tournament to begin, I built some HF MOCs! I present to you Heroes Marlin Ramm and Tank Caster and villains Ichor and Strain! .
Ramm and Caster.
Caster and Ramm.
Marlin Ramm was recently created; he came from the Assembly Tower just after the events on Quatros took place.
Ramm was personally trained by Vic Tory (actual character), the Recon Team lieutenant. Ramm is extremely skilled in stealth, agility, and marksmanship, although is an otherwise average hero.
Ramm's gun. It has a scope in addition to its dual barrels.
Although wielding such a weapon was not part of his initial training, Ramm had a Charge Axe custom-made for him by a weaponsmith in Makuhero City.
Ramm has a very interesting fighting style. Because he was trained by Tory, who trains each Hero differently, even the best-trained fighters have trouble predicting Ramm's moves.
Ramm's Charge Axe is called so because it is able to siphon electricity from Ramm's Hero Core, not enough to slow or damage Ramm, but once it has accumulated enough electricity, the axe can deliver a series of devastating electrically-charged blows.
Although typically using single-handed fighting techniques, Ramm sometimes holds his Charge Axe in a two-handed grip, for more stability and power.
A general overview of Marlin Ramm. When upgraded to his current specs, Ramm received stronger armor (hence the Drilldozer piece).
Ramm's legs. Hero design engineers noted that a major flaw of the 2.0 and 3.0 upgrade forms was that the armor was designed primarily to protect from hits taken head-on. Therefore Ramm has armor on the backs of his limbs as well.
During the Breakout mission, Ramm was assigned to track down the notorious villain Strain.
Tank Caster was created with the 2.0 upgrade. He never received a 3.0 form, but when the breakout occurred, he was immediately upgraded.
Caster is equipped with a heavy cannon and a small double-bladed sword.
The two small guns affixed to Caster's cannon are belt-fed from a large magazine, which is contained within his back armor.
(I know nothing about how guns work, so if that makes no sense, tell me.)
The cannon itself has a primary PSGE (plasma sphere generator - ejector) and two smaller machine guns.
Caster prefers to use his heavy cannon, but will use his sword if necessary. The sword is just that, a sword, but is modeled aesthetically after the Plasma Bow used by Furno and other Heroes.
Caster was not assigned to capture Ichor, but happened to be in the area that the villain was in at the time of the breakout.
Ichor was a member of a socially-advanced race that denounced technology. He was a civilian who was badly wounded in an avalanche caused by terrorists. The Hero Factory tried to save his life by outfitting him with cybernetic parts.
When he woke from his medically-induced coma, he was appalled by his own advanced cyborg state. Fearing rejection by his people, he vowed to take down the Factory.
Ichor did not take part in the breakout, but later hired many of the escapees.
Now known as Ichor due to his gold armor, he is extremely dangerous.
Ichor has large claws that are natural of his species. He also has a cybernetically-enhanced tail, with a stolen Plasma Gun attached.
Ichor's armor is also quite enhanced, offering protection from most energy and melee attacks.
Sometimes Ichor will revert to a quadrupedal state, for faster movement.
Strain has allied himself with Ichor, and as such, wears an I-shaped emblem on his chestplate.
Strain is incredibly strong and fast. He is equipped with large claw gauntlets, which he wears on his arms. He is also in possession of an older model of Meteor Blaster, which despite being old, is still extremely effective.
Strain was incarcerated in the Hero Factory maximum-security prison until Black Phantom engineered the breakout. Strain thinks that perhaps somebody else was in fact behind the breakout, but he's just happy to be free.
Like his boss Ichor, Strain also has very strong armor. His back is just as well armored as his front, so surprise strikes are usually ineffective.
Strain's chassis is complex in design; as such he is prone to overheating when overexerted, hence his name.
Another view inside Strain.
Strain's claw gauntlets are made from the same material as his armor, letting him cut through walls with ease.
Strain has a very aggressive fighting style, often charging directly at an adversary.
Strain was initially apprehended on his homeworld, an unnamed planet in the galaxy of Hephasteus-48b. That is where Strain is now headed, and where Ramm must follow him to.
Following a fierce battle, Strain is off-balance! It's Ramm's only chance!
And there! Another villain successfully recaptured. Time to return to the Factory.
Meanwhile, it appears that Ichor is captured!
But he may have one more trick up his sleeve...
Caster is taken out by Ichor's tail-mounted plasma gun!
Caster is saved by his ally's arrival!
Ichor is cuffed, and safety returns to the galaxies! Or does it?
That's all for now!
Next up: Maybe more HF, or Reythe, the last Toa Rela!
Bye for now!
Strain with Incarceron, a pretty good book, I recommend it. :)
