Audi TT Mk I V3.0 (4-wide) . This is V3.0 of my 4-wide Audi TT Mk I (Type 8N) including photos of some earlier versions. . As you can see on the version number this one has been tough to build for me, even more than the Porsche 911. I completely rebuilt it twice making uncount changes in between. I've already posted V2.0 in September including some pictures from V1.0, but I wasn't really satisfied with it, yet. Version 2.0 looked too flat on the front and on the rear end. What I needed was a combination of the SNOT bumpers with the SOT headlights and taillights. I changed that and added some mudguards for V2.1: It was still too edgy for an Audi TT, especially the top of it. So I tried some arches. This was V2.2: Then I was quite satisfied with it but not completely, because this version only had four arches in the middle and no roof. The side windows didn't look well, either. They were placed too low in the side panels. So I rebuilt the whole top section of the car adding a roof and a more upright windshield. I also got rid of the half stud offset of the middle part and put the side windows one plate higher. This is how it looks now, the version 3.0 of my TT: As the TT is my car in real life I have to be on the picture, too. OK, it's not really me, it's LEGO Nils and he seems to be quite satisfied with his ride (even after shrinking it with the last (too hot) car wash) :-)) Some more pictures: So this is V3.0 of my 4-wide LEGO Audi TT Mk I (Type 8N). Finally I am quite satisfied with it and I hope you like it, too :-)) Bonus photo #1: The real one Bonus photo #2: The 4-wide and a 1/43 scale model. Hmm, there is still some room for improvement... ;-)) Update June 22, 2012 and September 12, 2016: In fact, there was room for improvement. You can find V3.1 and V3.2 here...
