Changewing . Chameleon of the How to Train your Dragon world. . This is the How to Train your DRAGON Changewing. This sneaky creature can disappear into almost any environment. Its skin rests at a brilliant red and orange. Soon I hope to build him in a scene blending in, but for now I will show him as he is. Here is his head. It is not my most complicated, but it does look pretty close to the film. The dragon has two long antenna, sharp fangs, white eyes, and two very unusual blade-like fins on the side of it head. Here is a shot of the dragons head and neck from the side. When blending in, the dragon can change both its skin color and its back spine's shape. The moc's neck and head have some maneuverability. Here is the dragon's body and wings. He has four short legs and usually crawls near to the ground. The dragon does have sharp back spines. These serve as the dragons last line of defense. The dragon usually avoids conflict by its amazing ability to camouflage. Its skin is abnormally soft for a dragon. Here is the dragon's tail. It has many sharp blade like spines. I like the colors, but I do feel that I could improve this part of the dragon. This is two shots of a Changewing in flight position. The dragon folds its legs to its body. It has very long pointed wings. If you watch the Book of DRAGONS short you will see some good footage of this dragon in flight. Here is what most vikings do when they spot a Changewing (which is rare). If threatened, the Changewing sprays huge amounts of acid towards its foe. This is the Changewing's primary weapon. The result of attacking a Changewing is one very unhealthy skin complex. Some vikings, like Hiccup, prefer a more gentle approach. Changewings, like most dragons, can be trained. They make excellent riding dragons, and their color changing ability makes them fun to watch. Thanks for viewing. I have already finished my Polar Serpent. I am hoping to join a group soon. Please let me know what you think.
