DSV Beluga - Deep Submergence Vehicle . . Since I was a kid I have always been interested and curious about deep-sea exploration and underwater research. I remember Jacques Cousteau's documentaries and how much I used to enjoy them on TV, I has never put on a diving suit in my life though, maybe one day. This microscale model is heavily inspired by the DSV Shinkai 6500 and the DSV-4 SeaCliff class submersibles, and of course by the beautiful Cuusoo Lego set 21100. The DSV Beluga is a Swiss-Italian manned research submersible capable of diving up to a depth of 6,500 m. matching the DSV Shinkai and SeaCliff performance. For this tiny model I wanted to use as little pieces as possible to have a clean, almost minimalistic design and keep it compact so maybe I can keep the little thing on my shelve :Dů I would love to build a MiniFig scale Beluga some day though :)
