CLICK HERE FOR THE LAST EPISODE!. A Few Hours Later… Blast walked with Flare and Padfoot onto The Manipulator’s bridge. “So Charge lied to us.” Flare asked. “Yes. It seems he knew about the F.I.S. ambush.” Padfoot replied. “I shall deal with him later but now I want to inspect my new ship and brief the troops.” Blast looked out of the bridges side window at his new Venator-class cruiser. Instead of the usual Republic colours, it had been painted in Blast’s red patterns. He smiled and leant on the windowsill, gazing out at it. “Wow.” He breathed. “Sir.” The Manipulator’s captain came up to him. “The new troops are ready o be briefed.” “Thank you Captain.” Blast replied. He took a last look at his ship and then walked from the room and went down to where his new troops were waiting to be briefed. And so Blast gave the new U.R.S. soldiers a full briefing about the war and then once that was over, about an hour later, he met up with any new officers who had come with them on The Manipulator’s bridge. “Right; You were all at the briefing so you know everything you need to know, but as you are officers, I thought it would be appropriate that we all get to know each other a bit better.” Blast told them all as they stood in a line in front of him. “You’ve met all of us,” he gestured to the other U.R.S. leaders standing behind him. “But we don’t know you. So, start this end.” He pointed to the left of the line and one by one the five officers and three pilots gave a little bit of information about themselves. Venator’s Captain. “I’m Captain Trapp. I’m the Captain of your new Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. I’ve followed your war from it’s start and am very impressed by how you run things.” He told Blast. “Thank you Captain.” Blast nodded to him. “Right. So now we all know a little bit about you as well. Now Captain Trapp, Officer Patten, Officer Jones and Officer Moore go with Hess back to the Venator. Pilots Miller, Potts and Bale go down into crew quarters here with Nightblaze. And Officers Parson and Field go with Jelli to the…” Blast stopped giving out orders and looked around at the U.R.S. leaders. “Where’s Jelli?” They all looked around amongst themselves and realized that the Elite Captain wasn’t there. But then the question was answered as she walked through the door. “Ah Jelli. Glad you could join us.” Blast said with a question in his voice. “I’m sorry.” She replied sounding slightly shaky. “I had business to attend to.” Blast frowned but then went back to talking. As he finished giving out orders, Jelli took her helmet off and looked at Falcon with a strange, longing look in her eyes. He saw her looking and frowned questioningly at her. But she shook her head with a sad, slightly scared expression and looked back at Blast. “Right. Dismissed.” He finished and the new officers went off to their designated places. “Now.” Blast said to himself and walked over to the bridge’s holoprojector and punched in the code for Charge and Flare’s base. A hologram of High Commander Charge flickered into life. “Ah Blast. Greetings. How can I be of service?” he asked looking slightly surprised. “You can dispense with the pleasantries Charge. You gave us the wrong co-ordinates on purpose. You’re in league with Iadsgb.” Charge looked taken aback. “No. It’s just he… He paid me a lot of credits to give you those co-ordinates. I figured that you wouldn’t survive to find out.” “So Iadsgb paid you to give us the co-ordinates for an ambush?” Blast checked, trying to stay calm. “Yes. Yes, that’s it. I couldn’t help it. It was so much…” Charge started but Blast cut in. “You know what, you little swine, just get out of my sight.” Blast terminated the link as Charge started to argue back and the hologram disappeared. Blast stared at where the image had just been for a moment more then slammed his fists into the projector, making a dent. “Sir.” Padfoot came up behind him and he turned to face him. “The new troops are settled and we are ready to depart.” “Good. Tell Captain Field and Captain Trapp to take off. Take us to our base on the far side of Russan.” Blast walked over to the main window and looked out at his new Venator. “So what are you going to call her?” Padfoot asked seeing Blast looking. Blast thought for a moment and then replied, “The Valentine.” BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT? FIND OUT IN PART 12! COMING FRIDAY 30TH MARCH!
