Kikowani Station . A scene from the most under-rated of the Halo titles, Halo 3: ODST. . In addition to the MOC I decided to recreate the cutscene to the best of my ability. I was going to edit a few shots, but I couldn't download GIMP on this new computer due to password protected complications.
The Rookie continues his search for his squad-mates in the vacant streets of New Mombasa
The Superintendent, the cities Artificial Intelligence program, guides the Trooper around to clues as to where his squad is.
Another clue! But not very helpful, a Bio-Foam canister is a standard issue medical supply that could've belonged to anyone.
The Rookies figures the owner must have retreated down to the station platform and along the train lines, out of the city.
5 Hours After Drop
The squad of ODSTs make their way into Kikowani Station. They are; Buck, Mickey, Dutch, and Romeo and theyhave had a rough, combat filled day.
Buck: We're almost there.
Romeo: Put me down, p-put me down for a second.
Buck set Romeo against the ticket booth wall, he needs medical attention.
Buck: Dutch, medkit.
Dutch backed up, but continued to watch for contacts.
Dutch: What's wrong with him?
Buck: He's got a punctured lung, can't breath.
Buck takes out the canister of Bio-Foam...
...and fills Romeo's chest with the foam, sealing the wounds. It's a temporary treatment that will only last a few hours if your lucky.
Romeo takes in a breath. Both Troopers de-polarize their visors.
Romeo: No-now what?
Buck: Trains ran underground, up to the old city. We're going to find one of the tunnels, walk on out of here.
Romeo: You gonna carry me all the way sweetheart?
Buck: I was planning on it, but now that you're feeling better.
A Covenant Phantom Dropship flies past, startling the troopers.
Buck: Get the door!
Dutch reaches into the ticket booth and shuts the station gates.
I didn't add a working drop-from-the-ceiling gate-door, but imagine one descending.
Buck reaches out his hand, to help Romeo to his feet.
Instead of accepting the help, Romeo gives Buck back the Bio-Foam container...
...and gets to his feet.
They stare at each other for a second.
Then Buck throws the canister away.
Mickey: Gunny, you're gonna wanna see this.
Buck readies his Assault Rifle...
...and walks away down the escalator, Dutch follows.
The troopers leave, Romeo lingers slightly behind.
The Rookie drops the canister and contemplates where to go from here.
Then he hears a voice on the radio. It's Dare! The ONI Lady everyone, including us gamers, assumed was dead. She's at the cities Data Center, which isn't too far away. The Rookie gathers himself, and leaves.
That's it, to see the actual cut-scene go here.
I plan on building other Halo cut-scenes in the future, but hold your breath; the next one won't be coming soon.
We recently bought a new computer and it is partially the reason I've been inactive lately. We used to have dial-up, but this new computer doesn't have a phone-line connection, so we're getting high-speed (thank god). We want Charter, because the other choice is too slow. Unfortunately, Charter says that we are 50 feet outside their range (WHAT!?!?!?). They are going to come to us and access the situation, and untill then, I have to use the library as my internet resource.
