Optimus Prime, the Autobot Leader . After our G1 Prime fell apart awhile ago, David and I decided to make our next OP our own way. Henceforth, we bring you our custom Lego transformer, Optimus Prime. . Name: Optimus Race: Cybertronian Title(s): Prime, Leader, Boss-bot Moc Status: Assembled
Bio: Optimus was a curious bot mentored by Vector Prime who taught him all of Cybertron’s history and the workings of all it’s technology. But when war struck Cybertron, Vector Prime chose to lead the Autobots against the Decepticon threat. Optimus accompanied Vector and proved himself as a wise general. But at the pinnacle of the war, Optimus watched helplessly as Megatron extinquished Vector Prime’s spark. Filled with rage, Optimus fought with full force against the Decepticon leader, who quickly defeated him. But Autobot reinforcements forced Megatron to flee before he could kill Optimus. After recovering from the battle, Optimus realized that his anger after his mentor’s death was only dishonoring Vector Prime’s name. Still wanting to avenge his old friend, Optimus led a final attack on Megatron and his Decepticons. Finally reaching Megatron, Optimus kept his fury in check and defeated Megatron. After his capture, the Decepticons fell apart, and officially ended the war. Most Autobots felt that execution was what Megatron deserved, but Optimus had known the Decepticon leader’s dark history, and decided to secretly imprison him until the Decepticons were completely wiped out. His wisdom and courage throughout the war resulted in him succeeding Vector as a Prime, as well as becoming Cybertron’s new leader. Now after 1,000 years of rebuilding Cybertron, the Autobots find the Decepticons looming in the vicinity of Megatron’s prison. Optimus Prime now must recruit a new team to stop these Decepticons, before Megatron return reignites the age-old War for Cybertron. Now, on to Optimus Prime and his vehicle mode! You can obviously see that this truck is based off of the Transformers Prime: Optimus vehicle mode. As with all our Lego Transformers, Optimus is build to be as correspondent with minifigure scale as possible. Hence, he's not really that big of a toy. Side view of truck mode. Angled rear view of truck mode. Rear view of truck mode(with minifigs). Comparison with Ratchet and Landmine vehicle modes. Optimus Prime, TRANSFORM!! And here is the big OP in Robot mode! You like 'im? I hope so, it took awhile to build him. :P Side view. Rear view. Very transformerzy, but it's not too bad. Action pose! SUPER KICK! Oh yeah, Optimus Prime has nice balance! LAME action pose. And what is an Optimus Prime without weapons? Here's a few often used by our favorite Prime... Aiming his G1 laser rifle! Showing off his Transformers Prime wrist blades! Comparison with Landmine(Not forgetting Prime's bad axe!) All the Autobots built so far... Two to go! One good way so show how small these Transformers are is to compare them to the Transformers Deluxe figures. But he matches them well.(One to Prime's right is Energon Rodimus Prime, one to his left is Animated Sentinal Prime) Comparison with Callan. Now you can REALLY tell how small these guys are. Prime: Are you suffering from limp gun dysfunction? Prime: Then get PRIMEagra! This stuff is guaranteed to get you back in action! Wait... Prime: Well, that's that. See you all another time! Till all are one... Ratchet: Oh, one last thing... Ratchet: Here's a few WIPs, coming soon! Can you guess any of them? Transforming the Fourth Wall: This Prime is inspired by a number of previous Primes. There's the Movie Style Vehicle Mode, the G1 reminiscent robot mode, but is actually shaped more like War for Cybertron' Prime's robot mode, and has a TF Cybertron transformation style. Though unlike Cybertron Prime, this one isn't faking that the windshield's on the chest. It's not. David and I faced a lot of problems during this guy's build, but I think the final result ended up being spectacular. So most of the credit goes to David. Although he does have skinny hips in robot mode, I hope that's a quibble you can easily overlook. Hope you liked him! Please comment and rate if you enjoyed this moc.
