AVS SHADOW CHEVROLET PROTOTYPE . . An addition to the excellent Classic Race Teams Group The first AVS Shadow was this lowline prototype built for the 1970 Canadian-Amercian (Can-Am) challenge. It was unusually low and captured the attention of Road & Track who put it on their cover and called it the "most radical Can-Am yet". Others have called it the ‘go-kart’ or ‘roller-skate’. The car's creator, Don Nichols called it “the two dimensional car. I call it "A Slice of Stealth". Take a look It has a Chevrolet 90º V8 in the back. And no, it's not growing palm trees, the intake trumpets should be black or grey and I don't have enough of either colour. You'll see a soloution shortly but I thought I'd put this detail in. The engine is not up to standard so you won't be seeing it ;-) Thank you to Lego builder, Chinchilla and Firas for helping me find a good rear exhaust solution, they should be oval, I think these wall bricks are the closest thing. I like the rear of this car. In fact I like it from all angles lol Here you see my solution to the tree trumpets...A bazooka lol No it's not a Bazooka it's some kind of supercharger turbo thing. It looks cool whatever it is! I thought this would be an relatively straight forward build but I was wrong, turned out pretty cool though I think, yet again very smooth but there is a stud showing somwhere, can you spot it? To see more info and pictures about this car, the website below is the best place to go. What to you think of it? Stealthy hey :-)
