Fokker Dr.1 - Manfred von Richthofen 1918 . In the First World War history was written by Baron Manfred von Richthofen in his red Fokker tri-plane. The Dr. 1 was the most manoeuvrable of all the aircraft in use and achieved high rates of climb. The Dr. 1 that was delivered to the troops in June 1917 was withdrawn from the front at the end of 1917, but Richthofen continued to fly it until April 1918. . This is my first attempt at a WW1 plane in Lego Digital designer, but i think it went quite well. There are a few things missing as i could not find suitable pieces but most parts of the plane are there. I got my inspiration for making this from watching the 2008 Film The Red Baron, and since then WWI aviation has become a bit of an interest of mine. I made this using some instructions from the lego set #10024, The Red baron. I added the insignia using a photo editing programme and an image off the internet. Overall i'm very pleased with the outcome, and quite thankfull it worked out as i had some problems along the way and thought at one point it wouldn't work. If you'd like me to make any more Military Planes, or just want to comment on this then please do and don't forget to like it. Cheers:)
