Adventures of R & D (My brothers' first story!) . This is the debut of my brothers' creations! enjoy and comment! . Hey guys! You might or might not have seen me mention before that I have two younger siblings; Rainer and Donovan. I started building with bionicles when around 4 years ago, when I was just going into the double-digits, and have (at least in my opinion) come a long way from there. My brothers, however, have come to that stage in life where they are curious about everything I do, and noticed that I built things with LEGO products. Legos themselves were too small and complicated, so I introduced them to the slightly less-complicated world of Bionicle. They, like me, instantly fell in love, building their own creations and expressing their creativity.
Now I'm 14, Rainer is 6, and Donovan is 4. Their models have become more complex and humanoid in form, now that they know what they can and can't do. The warriors I'm about to tell a tale about (Written by R & D, Edited by me) are their proudest creations.
Name: Rainer Figg
Mask: Thraxuz (Name by Rainer; means Speed)
Allies: Donovan, "Anyone who doesn't want to do evil"
Powers: Rainer can control swamp, meaning he can control plants and water to a certain extent. He can make vines come out of the ground to trap his enemies. He can also make living decoys of himself, distracting his opponent for a sneaky getaway, or a sneak attack.
Weapons: Swamp launcher, Tri-blade
Name: Donovan Figg
Mask: T'rn (Name by Donovan; means strength)
Allies: Rainer, "Anybody who isn't a bad guy"
Powers: Donovan's element is magma, so he can control fire and earth to a certain extent. He is impervious to heat, and often sets his hands on fire to "Pack a hot punch". He can fly by shooting flames out of his hands and feet. He can also launch balls of molten lava at his enemies.
Weapons: Magma cannon, Volcano's heart (sword)
That's the basics of the characters, but before I tell you their story, I have to give you the introduction. My brothers saw the newest bionicle movie and decided to base their story after that. on Bara-magna, the villages had now united against the common enemy. All civilized tribes had been given powers over their native elements, and used them to fight the shadow. R & D's mother was and offspring of water and forest, making her and her first child swamp. Their dad, however, was a great fire warrior who they rarely saw or spoke to. He passed the fire trait down to Donovan. Now the two brothers are two among many guardians of the relatively new village of Amarok. It was a village that welcomed all tribes except members of the sand tribe, because they were beasts, and shadow warriors, because they were pure embodied evil.
One day, Rainer and Donovan were sent out to search for food...
"Do you think we'll find anything?" Donovan said.
"We've only been walking for a few hours. And this is the desert. We'll be lucky if we find a dunewurm!"
Rainer and Donovan had been sent out in search of thornaxs to make thornax soup, a delicacy of growing popularity in Amarok. Although the dish was invented by the Vorox beasts, it proved to be delicious and nutritious. Rainer and Donovan had only eaten it once, when they were young. They had a wonderful time enjoying the day with their mother until the kitchen exploded. Thornaxs can be pretty dangerous.
"You've taken and passed the training tests, right?"
"I have. Why?"
"Are they hard? I know the written test is all about what to do, what to say, and when to say or do it, but is it hard?"
"A little. There are a few trick questions, but with a good soul like yours, it should be a breeze. It's the combat test you should be worrying about."
Little did they know, They were being watched...
"Pfft! I'm not worried about the combat test at all! That's gonna be the easiest part!"
"Are you sure? You have to spar with captain Nathaniel."
"That old windbag? Ha! He fights like a sissy!"
Rainer started laughing, "Yeah. hehe. I guess he does."
"It's all tailcoats and tight trousers and 'would you like some tea?' with that old coot!"
Over Rainer's growing laughter and Donovan's impersonations, no one saw a lone figure descend from atop the cliff...
"'Your move,' he'll say. And without a word, I will strike, faster than a Viper! 'Your speed is incredible!' he'll say, 'and your muscles are much bigger than my twiggy-old-arms!'. 'I know!' I'll say."
Rainer was now on the ground laughing.
But still they didn't notice as the figure started to raise his Thornax launcher...
"And then," Donovan went on, "When he strikes from above, I'll parry upwards with the grace of a swan, deflecting his sword and shooting my cannon from behind my back! 'You're such a great fighter!' He'll say as he's slowly sitting up. 'You're even better than me before I became a dusty old fart! You have the grace and skill of a... a...'"
"Vorox?" He said.
Rainer stopped laughing and looked up to see fear in Donovan's eyes.
He quickly tried to jump up, but he was too late...
There was a loud explosion as the Thornax hit Donovan, sending him flying back.
Rainer, seeing that his brother was now unconcious, he knew he had to fight. He quickly channeled his swamp energy into his launcher and ran at the Vorox. He shot at the Vorox, but missed by inches.
There was a clang as Rainer's launcher caught the Vorox's sword. Rainer swung his sword around at the Vorox's head...but the Vorox blocked with his stinger.
Rainer grappled with the beast for a while, but neither of them backed down. Then, at the same time Rainer did, the Vorox realized it still had a free launcher......and a Thornax to fill it.The Vorox raised his hand with the look of victory in his eyes. Rainer closed his eyes and waited for the end...
But someone not too far away had also raised their hand with the intent to kill.
BOOM!The explosion knocked Rainer and the Vorox back as molten lava splattered all over the Vorox. Rainer looked up to see the Vorox sizzle.
"Are you okay, Donovan?!"
"I'll be okay as soon as we get back to the village!" Donovan called back.
Without another word, Rainer walked over and picked up his injured brother.
And they began walking home.
