Ziov The Blooded She-Wolf, and Urasi The Gold Clad Bear . My entry for the Toa vs Toa contest over a B.R.O. The challenge was to make two Toa of an animal element to battle each other. Hope this will do! :) . First off I would like to apologize for the blurry photography. My camera is throwing a hiss-y-fit because I refused to change the batteries that I know are still good. So yeah...
Link to B.R.O.
Here they both stand. I am really quite happy with the way both of them came out.
So we'll start with Urasi the Gold Clad Bear.
Oh yeah. And ze short bio.
Element: Bear (yup, really)
Kanohi: Kakama, Mask of Speed (doesn't use it much)
Weapons: Claws, Sheer Weight and Raw Power
Bio: He is a Toa of Bears... What did you want? A good story? Pfft, go look someplace else.
Now for the 360 view.
Back. Not my best. Not my worst.
His legs. I got to this point and having been void of pieces and ideas I stuck with simplicity.
Torso. LOVE this. It didn't take me long to come up with this but BOY do I love how it came out. Best part of this MOC in my humble opinion.
Arm. They both are the same so there is nothing real fancy about them. Once again, when I got to this point I just went with simple.
Epic MOC + Epic pose + Blurry photo = Epic fail.
Not quite sure what pose that is...
Ok Brother. My turn.
Ziov, The Blooded She-Wolf!
The very short bio.
Kanohi: Mutated Huna, Mask of Concealment
Weapons: Claws, Sharpened Tail, Paralyzing Stare
Bio: Nope, got nothing here either. I didn't really take the time to write these... But maybe I'll come back and write them later.
Ok, well back to the photos. More specifically, a 360!
Back. Fairly good in my opinion given how little experience I have in making something such as this.
Legs. I am VERY happy with these. They are my favorite part of the MOC. The paw design belongs to Sam I Am.
They look better from the back though.
Torso. Very happy with how this came out, it gave me a bit o' trouble.
Back of torso.
'Nother wolf pose.
The two together.
With Esh and Aivren. Urasi's a BIG dude!
Ok, now to the actual contest part of this post. The battle!! To the stairs!
Ah, here we are. Now, Let's Battle!
The face off! These natural enemies are prepared to go to war!
Urasi makes the first move and charges at the She-Wolf-
-Who nimbly dodges the hulking bear's charge which carries it directly-
-Into the wall... That's gonna leave a mark in the morning...
Taking the opportunity, our She-Wolf prepares to attack the stunned bear.
She stalks up to the bear, who is still stunned.
The She-Wolf pounces and-
-Successfully tackles to stunned bear.
But the bear has regained it's senses and has thrown the She-Wolf off and to the ground.
Now facing the downed wolf this battle seems to be over...
The large bear swiftly raises a great claw over its head-
-And begins to bring it down on the grounded wolf. It seems the end for our She-Wolf-
-Ah! Whats that?!
What is this?!
Hey, whats going-
Tablescrap Rahkshi: Let this be a lesson to you.
Never end a battle post without a Rahkshi! Or else!
Well I guess he wins the battle, so... Way to go! I think...
Creator's Comments: Ooookay. This was quite fun. I thoroughly enjoyed building these two, and am quite happy with the out come of both.
The idea of a Toa with an animal element stumped me for a little while. I kept think, "How in the heck do you build a Toa of an animal? What should it look like?". Soon I thought that it should have at least a few aspects of the animal itself. After establishing that I thought about what animals to build them on. A wolf was my first thought, (not surprising given that its one of my favorite animals) and after that I just went with one of a wolf's natural enemies. Please note that wolves and bears rarely battle each other in the wild, even if there is a carcass involved. But I still wanted them as the Toa.
Well, that's about all I can think of to say at this point.
Best of luck to the others in this contest!
Thanks for viewing!
