Temple of the Skeletal Sun . Just something on the side, for now. . The Temple of the Skeletal Sun was discovered in 1937 out in the Amazon forest. To this day, archaeologists remain puzzled as per it's origins and the beliefs of the people who established it. The hieroglyphs are illegible and unable to provide a clear answer, while the bare inside provides inexplicable and unnatural feelings both physically and mentally. Paranormal investigators have deemed this place "malevolently haunted." The overgrown entrance to the temple. Far less trees than the rest of the jungle, obviously. The temple's "spirits" seem to have an adverse effect on the large rain forest trees, making them unable to grow in this area. The animals have picked up on this and steer clear for their own safety. Inside sits the sculpture of the Skeleton King, named so because his head is a preserved human skull. The entrance is adorned with two javelins. Whoever this temple was dedicated to was obviously a warrior. The Skeletal Sun itself. Like the head of the Skeleton King, the hands are preserved human hands. Forensics indicate that each hand came from a different person, and none match the DNA from the skull. The top is adorned with several structures surrounding a central spire. The dragon above the Skeletal Sun is believed to be a representation of Quetzalcoatl, but since there is no other connection to the Aztecs or any other Central/South American tribe present, it is impossible to tell for sure. Detail. Final overview. PostScript: -Just extra. -If you'd please leave a comment and a rating, it'd be much appreciated.
