MXSC-R1-Fail- A Death In The Family... . 'This is going to hurt you a lot more than it does me.' . Built for Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest. After beating Jason Todd (the 2nd Robin) unconscious with a crowbar, the Joker leaves him in a warehouse rigged with timed explosives. The Caped Crusader arrives at the warehouse... ...too late. For the first time since the murder of his parents, the Dark Knight experiences a death in the family. Decided by fan voting, the death of Jason Todd would prove to be as monumental an event in Bruce Wayne's life as witnessing his own parent's demise. His failure to protect his partner and friend would haunt him for years... Some fully lit shots of the build: Dave Kaleta was sharing WIP pics of his entry in our LUG, giving me the idea for the blank faces. While he isn't the first person to use this technique, he deserves the credit in this instance. The dio is lit using battery operated LED lights, housed within the 16x16 base and turned on/off through the slot on the side. Fourth Dimension Commentary: My first idea was actually for a Spiderman fail (I even had the figs made up), but was unhappy with the 16x16 restriction for what I had in mind. If I don't move on, which is a very high likelihood given the number of quality entries, I will most likely build the Spidey MOC I had envisioned. In closing, thanks to Thor for putting on this contest and good luck to all of the participants!
